The Rocky Mountain Mixed Doubles Classic - Banff & Canmore, Alberta
The Rocky Mountain Curling Association is proud to host the 2023/24 Mixed Doubles Classic! We are excited to welcome you to one of the premiere events on the mixed doubles curling circuit. The event is scheduled to run from Thursday, January 4th – Sunday, January 7th, 2024.
The format will be 30 teams seeded into 5 pools of 6 (based on a full field). The top two teams in each pool move into the Saturday play-off bracket. The Championship final will be held on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 at the Banff Curling Club. The top 4 overall records will receive a bye into the quarter-finals while the remaining 8 qualifying teams will play in a sudden-death round.
Round Robin events will be split between the Canmore and Banff Curling Clubs. The first round of the play-offs will occur in Canmore on Saturday night. The remaining play-off rounds will occur in Banff during the day Sunday.
A minimum number of 4 games is guaranteed.

Pre-event practice
Practice ice will be available on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, so be sure to take that into consideration when booking your travel plans.
Video live-stream
We will again be live-streaming a selection of games as well as the Championship final so that friends and family from afar can watch. The draw and the live-stream schedule will be posted closer to the event.
Saturday Night Social
The Saturday Night Social at the Canmore Golf & Curling Club is back! Dust off those dancing shoes and bring your friends and family for a great night of fun.
There’s lots to do for family and friends in Banff and Canmore—from hiking, to incredible dining experiences, to just relaxing and enjoying the mountain air. Friends and family are welcome to join in the golf and the Saturday night social. So bring them along and even plan a few days extra to enjoy all the Bow Valley has to offer
